Monsters Walk With Us

The Murder of Cassie Jo Stoddart

Mary O. Season 2 Episode 1

Hi Friends! It's finally here -- Season 2!

It's been a VERY hard year for me, and I've struggled pretty badly while I've been gone. I feel back on track, even though so much of my life is topsy-turvy. I was laid off from my job after almost 2 years with the company, my dog Susie is nearing the end of her time with us and I've experienced another colossal loss. As my heart is breaking and mending, I'm doing the best as I can day by day. I turn 35 in 6 days - I'm so happy to be getting this episode out before then.

I'm glad to be back and looking forward to getting the pod back up and running, as I come back to life myself. I love you friends! I can't wait for you to enjoy season 2 and what the future will hold for Monsters Walk.

You are worthy. You are loved. Even if you've made mistakes, you deserve life.

On this episode, wonderful Friend of the Pod, Mallaury joins me to discuss the murder of Cassie Jo Stoddart. This episode was recorded 10/1/22.

CW: Murder, mention of mass shootings & discussion of grief

**Spoilers for Scream 4 & Scream 5
** Cassie's funeral was attended by approximately 500 people, not 50 as I said in the episode.
